Methodology and sources
Annual and quarterly sales and tax figures are certified totals published by the CRC. Certified totals are based on reported tax collections and may be revised as late payments post. Monthly sales, transactions, prices, product mix and county shares come from the CRC's public meeting presentations, which draw on the state's Metrc seed-to-sale tracking system. These monthly figures are reported before certification and do not always add up to the certified quarterly totals. Where we calculate a figure ourselves, such as per-ounce prices or average transaction value, we say so next to it. Percentages are rounded to one decimal place.
